Age 85 of Lansing passed away August 3, 2024. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made The Salvation Army, Lansing Citadel.

A memorial gathering is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Seikichi Iha (“Sensei” to his students) died peacefully at his home in Lansing, Michigan on Aug. 3, 2024, surrounded by loving family and friends. He celebrated his 92nd birthday in July. Funeral service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with interment to follow in Glendale Cemetery.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter in memory of Penny L. Wood. 

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church, 510 W. Ottawa St., Lansing, MI, with the Reverend Charles Herrick officiating, interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt, MI. The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Friday, August 2, from 5-8 p.m., and also one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Lansing, MI, or The Alzheimer’s Association.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to  follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. A closed casket visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00  p.m. on Thursday.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday for 1 hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.

Memorial visitation: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30th at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Graveside service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, East Lansing, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at the St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will also receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. 

His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024.

There will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date.

A celebration of Travis’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at Riverview Church-Westside, Lansing. Casual dress is requested. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Brain Tumor Association, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contribution may be made, to the family or Leader Dogs for the Blind.
