The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday. His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Resurrection, or to Bonehead Hunting Club in memory of James Collinson.

A memorial service with military funeral honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Immanuel Community Reformed Church. His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, or to Compassion International in memory of David Carey.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday July 6, 2024, 1:00 at Kiwanis Park in Holt. Right next to the ballfield of course. Friends and family are welcome to share their memories of Wayne. He loved telling his stories, and his family would love to hear tales of their time with him. Of course, those attending should plan on wearing their casual shorts, softball t-shirts/jerseys or Green and White.

Huy’s family will receive guests at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 25, from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Then on Wednesday, June 26, the family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 8:00 until 10:00 a.m. at which time the funeral procession will go past Huy’s home on its way to Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt for burial.
