Leona M. (Barrett) Andrews

Born August 29, 1931 in Lansing, Michigan passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the age of 93.
Leona married Alvin C. Andrews on April 17, 1948 in Alma, Michigan. She retired from Michigan State University in 1992, was a former member of the Lions Club and volunteered at both the Salvation Army and the McRee house in Lansing.
Surviving are her 3 children, Grover P. (Pat) Andrews of Lansing, MI; Clifford C. (JoAnn) Andrews of Kingsport, TN, and Marlene A. Darcy of Baraga, MI; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandcildren; 2 sisters, Wanda Pickman of Cadillac, MI and Marjorie Ott of Eaton Rapids, MI along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Alice (Patterson) Barrett; her husband, Alvin C. Andrews; son-in-law, Thomas M. Darcy and her great-grandson, Jacob Gleason.
Per her wish cremation has taken place in Kingsport, TN and her cremated remains will be inurned at Delta Center Cemetery in Lansing at a later date.
