Obituaries

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, East Lansing, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 26, 2024, at the St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will also receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. 

His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2024.

There will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date.

A celebration of Travis’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at Riverview Church-Westside, Lansing. Casual dress is requested. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Brain Tumor Association, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  The family will receive friends at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Memorial contribution may be made, to the family or Leader Dogs for the Blind.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow in Hillside Cemetery.  His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to your local food bank.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Civil Liberties Union, World Central Kitchen, the MSU Opera Program, or the East Lansing Public Library.

Funeral Mass: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, Lansing. His family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or a charity of one’s choice.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Lansing, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Her family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, with the Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

The funeral will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt. Visitation will begin  Saturday 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

 Memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lansing July 30, 2024 at 11 am.

Graveside service: 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Lansing.  The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 11, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of the Resurrection, or to Bonehead Hunting Club in memory of James Collinson.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-County Baptist Church.

There will be no service.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue of the donor’s choice.

A memorial service with military funeral honors will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Immanuel Community Reformed Church.  His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, or to Compassion International in memory of David Carey.
