Edna M. Minnis
Edna Magdalene Minnis, age 85, of Holt, MI, passed away, September 17, 2024, in Lansing. She was born May 3, 1939, in Crestline, Ohio, to the late Richard and Magdalene (Schwind) Smith.
Edna loved going to the casino, reading, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Janet (Mike) Thompson and Sheila Frazier; grandchildren: Kristopher Thompson, Karen Thompson, Erin (Neil) Smith, Brenton (Veronica) Kaminski, and Trent (Brianna) Scott; great-grandchildren: Braeden Kaminski, Harper Kaminski, Landon Smith, Hayden Smith, and Ethan Kaminski; her granddog, Nacho; siblings: Harold (Nancy) Smith, Ruth Blakeslee, Raymond Smith, Delores (Jerry) Inman, Linda Deman, and Katherine (Phil) Waldo; sister-in-law, Cecile Smith as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Max Minnis; son-in-law, Edwin Frazier; great-grandson, Gavin Stewart; siblings: infant sister Dorothy Alice Smith, Constance Grimes, Edwin Smith, Janet Carter, Charles Smith, and Kristine Spooner; brother-in-law, Richard Blakeslee; sister-in-law, Carol Smith; brother-in-law, Peter Deman; as well as her granddog, Molly.
There will be a celebration of life gathering to be held, Saturday, September 28, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the family home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Holt Food Bank.
Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
