Douglas A. Newcomb

Age 72, passed away October 22, 2024.  He was born October 17, 1952, in Lansing, Michigan, to David and Laurel Newcomb.  Douglas attended Everett High School, and graduated from Olivett High School.  He was a hard worker for his career and his family.  Douglas loved fishing, hunting, and Detroit sports; especially the Lions.

Surviving are:  his wife of 51 years, Susan Newcomb; son, Brian Newcomb; sister, Dianne (Phil) Giffard; half-brother, Russell Young; half-sister, Christina Young; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Charles (Andrea) Martin.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Laurel Young; and his grandparents, Willard and Lillie Mosher.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Douglas Newcomb.
