Obituaries

Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Her family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sparrow Service Auxiliary.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan.

Memorial service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 7740 W. St. Joseph Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.

A celebration of Ruth’s life is being planned for friends and family on Saturday, June 22 (Ruth’s birthday). Details will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ruth’s name to Hospice of Lansing (Memorial Donations).

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday and from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Semper Fi Fund.

A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, Okemos, MI.

There will be no service.

Funeral service: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Andrew Dung-Lac Catholic Church, 1611 Old Oakland Ave., Lansing, MI. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Public visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, February 28th and 2-8 p.m. Friday, March 1st at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Funeral service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Andrew Orthodox Catholic Church, 1216 Greencrest, East Lansing.  His family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Orthodox Church, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 1st, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Interment will be at Summit Cemetery in Williamston, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to Ele’s Place. 

Celebration of Life service: 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Grange Acres Clubhouse, Haslett, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.

Funeral service: 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 p.m. and again on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at Cedar Street Church, 1705 Cedar Street in Holt.  His family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the memorial service.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at Holt United Methodist Church, 2321 N. Aurelius Rd. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to the hospice of one’s choice.

Funeral service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lansing. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Advent House Ministries.

Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, at St. Mary Cathedral, Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to Grandhaven Living Center, Lansing, MI.

Per his wishes, no services are being held.

Memorial service: 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Michigan Premier Hospice, West Branch, MI.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 18, 2019, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing, with the Rite of Committal in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lansing Catholic Central High School or St. Gerard School.
