We had this way of sharing good times and bad with each encounter ending with us laughing so hard, we were crying. I will miss my confidante, my anchor, my friend.

Andra – you took this city gal down the Grand Canyon, down the Colorado River, through the Rocky Mountains and taught me I could live without my makeup, hair dryer or curling iron! We sang show tunes and became “Bosom Buddies”. I loved our talks, walks, and picture taking adventures. The laughing was the best! Oh, how I will miss you.

Andra — The sun is rising over the hills just ahead. Follow the forested path that will lead you to your home. Godspeed, Andra and always know that those of us you leave behind are so blessed to have known your grace and companionship

Paul, I was present for your courtship and the wedding, but I lost track of both of you over the decades. I was very saddened to see Andra’s name in the obituaries, and I am sorry for your loss.

Andra, an amazing woman and a beautiful soul. Even though we lost touch when our paths went in different directions, you always were remembered in my heart. I will always cherish the memories of our time together at LCC. You impacted me in ways that go beyond words and I feel so blessed to have had you in my life.

I was a colleague with Andra, she was upbeat an a very pleasant person to be around. Worked with her closely on creating a video about Surveying Michigan. A great person!

Even though we hadn’t seen each other in a while, I cherish the memory of Andra as one who welcomed me to Michigan, and tried to show me what it had to offer outdoors. She was a wonderful, warm person.

Andra, I am indebted to you more than you can imagine. You stood by me through all the good times and all the rough times, and always gave encouragement. You were one of the special ones and I am better for the time we shared together as colleagues for so many years.

Andra, I didn’t know you for very long. I haven’t even seen you in years. I was just a student employee in your department at LCC. But it broke my heart to hear of your passing. You are one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. You had this amazing way of making people feel good about themselves. You lit up every room you entered with warmth and kindness and it saddens me to think that that light is gone and we are all just a little colder for it’s absence. But I know you are in the brightest and most beautiful of places now and we will meet again someday. Thank you for making my life brighter. Thank you for making me feel important and appreciated. I wish I could have told you how much your kind words and actions meant to me. But perhaps now you do know. I hope so.

Paul, we were classmates when you first set eyes on Andra. You were head over heels crazy for her, from day one. Who could blame you? She lit up a room, made everyone feel important. A trooper for all. She had everyone’s back, and you had her’s. I was so sorry to read of Andra’s passing and am so sorry for your loss.

Paul–I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t have the pleasure of working
with Andra as much as I have you. But I do remember her love of the Great Lakes.

Paul I was so very sad to hear of Andra’s passing. Andra was the one I called when I really wanted to get to get anything done at LCC. We commiserated, we laughed, we cried and we always had fun. Take care Paul.
