Jon L. Curtis
Age 71, of Holt, MI, passed away May 19, 2019. He was born October 4, 1947, in Lansing, MI, to Jesse L. Curtis, and Gertrude (Smith) Curtis.
Jon graduated from Holt High School in 1966. He retired from Holt United Methodist Church where he worked as a custodian for over 30 years.
He was an avid reader of historical fiction, sci-fi and fantasy. He loved action movies and owned the majority of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s works. As a child he loved his toy cars and trucks, searching for garter snakes, going to Edru’s skating rink, and golf. He enjoyed dirt bike racing and bowling. During his 40s and 50s he became a gym rat and also participated in charity races.
Jon is survived by his sister, Virginia Rogers; children, Timothy Curtis, Jon B. Curtis, Daniel Curtis, and Katie Curtis; and his grandchildren, Brittney Curtis, Megan Curtis, Jesse Curtis, and Olive Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Holt United Methodist Church, 2321 N. Aurelius Rd., Holt. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.

May 21, 2019 at 10:49 amJon was a good church friend. He would get on me for being late for church. I had a reply which I never got to use ( Doesn’t church start at 11:15?) Instead of 11. I will miss him, and I know that he will be in a better place.
