Carol M. “Cork” Kibbey

Age 81, of Holt, MI, passed away May 11, 2019.  She was born May 25, 1937, in Lansing, MI.

Throughout her life she became a loving wife, caring mother, and a very devoted grandma and great-grandma. She lived her life to the fullest, always taking part in family activities and spending time with her church family and friends. She was the type of woman who was always there to listen and willing to offer a helping hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Don Shaver, husband Don Kibbey, her son, Steve Kibbey, and grandson BJ Smith. She is survived in life by her brother, Allen Shaver (Sharon); her son, Randy Kibbey; daughter, Traci Hooper (Jerry); 4 grandchildren, Tara (David), Justin (Nikki), Jason (Jodi), Corey (Brittney); and 8 great-grandchildren, Parker, Arri, Hannah, Hunter, LeeAnn, Jackson, Nora, and Lincoln, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt, 2021 N. Aurelius Rd.  Her family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, 8 E. 41st Street, 8th Floor, New York, NY 10017.

I cant say enough about What an awesome grandma she has been! loving and caring are the first things that come to mind….she will be greatly missed! My heart aches
