Woodrow Wilson Wright
Age 90, of Dimondale, passed away on August 2, 2011. He was born in Paxton, IL on April 8, 1921.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. He was employed with General Motors, Oldsmobile Division and was a Past President of the Kalkaska Lions Club.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Margie in 1987; 2 sons, Douglas and Brian; grandson, John Wright; great-grandson, Jonathan Luke Rademaker; and several brothers and a sister. Surviving are: 2 sons, Phil (Beckie) Wright of Dimondale and Woody (Linda) Wright of Lansing; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel with the Rev. Tom Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Leader Dogs for the Blind.
