Winnifred “Winnie” Marie Smalley

Winnie was born in Holt, Michigan and lived in Holt most of her life, however, had a cottage at Chippewa Lake. She moved to Tennessee in 1995.

Survived by daughter Penney Rudicil (Kevin) and Grandchildren Andrea Keeton (Fletcher), Beth Hartlieb (Kasey), Emma Rudicil, John Hawkins, JP Rudicil and several beloved great grandchildren.

Preceded in death are her parents Owen & Nina Kennell, brothers Duane & Raymond Kennell, two nephews Leroy and Daniel Kennell, husbands Don Hawkins, Raymond Twichell, and Frank Smalley, and grandson, Eddie Perry.

Winnie was a wife, mother, grandmother and career woman working for nearly 30 years as an accounting supervisor at the Accident Fund of Michigan. She loved to spend time with her friends and family at the lake, crafting, dancing, and traveling. She also loved to give of her time to those in need, helping whenever and wherever she could.

Per her wishes, there will be a graveside service, held on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt, Michigan. The family will host a Celebration of Life ‘Party’ in July on or around her birthday in Hendersonville, TN.
