William E. Wood

Age 68, of Haslett, MI, passed away January 8, 2018. He was born June 29, 1949, in Lansing, MI, to Emery and Geraldine Wood.

William was an avid tinkerer. He knew how to fix everything and had the “gift of gab.”

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karon; two children, Penny (Larry) Thorn and William (Julianne) Wood, Jr.; three grandchildren, Taylor and Billie Thorn, and Drake Wood; two brothers, Howard and Jim Wood; sister, Wanda Wood; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Wood.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Holt. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
