William Charles Hallenbeck
Age 89, of Holt, MI, passed away January 1, 2019. He was born February 23, 1929, in Lansing, MI.
William proudly served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in Germany. He retired from General Motors. He lived for his grandkids and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ann (LaFleur) Hallenbeck; children, Cheryl Hallenbeck, Joann (Allen) Macchia, William J. (Kim) Hallenbeck, Lisa (Richard) Hayhoe, Ann Stavros, and Peter A. (Nikki) Hallenbeck; 10 grandchildren, Kara (Mike) Garrett, Nicholas Hallenbeck, Samantha (Joseph) Goris, Kaylee and Alexis Hallenbeck, Daniel (Allison) Hayhoe, Stephanie Stavros, and Ashley, Amanda, and Tyler Hallenbeck; 2 great-grandchildren, Olive Goris and Emily Garrett; and brother, Frank Hallenbeck. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Richard Ashburn; parents; 5 brothers, Harry, Virgil, Jack, Victor, and George; 3 sisters, Virginia, Joyce, and Judy; and son-in-law, Steve Stavros.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
