Wallace “Wally” Fowler

Age 90, passed away October 8, 2019.  He was born February 10, 1929, in Lansing.  Wally retired from the Lansing Board of Water and Light, where he worked as a supervisor.  He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

Wallace was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; daughter, Diane Laureys; son-in-law, Ernie Laureys; grandson, Ryan John Risdon; and brother, Richard Fowler.  Surviving are:  daughter, Vallorie (Gary) Risdon; grandchildren; Robert (Wendy) Risdon, Ernest (Lori) Laureys, Michele Laureys, Russell Risdon, Steven (Kim) Laureys, and Randy (Jayne) Risdon; seven great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3815 S. Cedar St., Lansing, with Fr. John A. Byers officiating.  His family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in memory of Wallace Fowler.

One of the nicest gentleman God has put on earth. Will always have fond memories of the fishing vacations that we enjoyed. From the bottom of my heart I wish his children the best

My deepest sympathies to the entire family. I have fond memories of Wally & Jean visiting with my My grandparents (Casey & Bess Ozanich). Such a kind & wonderful man! God Bless your Family.
