Vince was a great neighbor! He will be deeply missed. He was always good to all the kids growing up helping repair our bicycles, giving us Klondike Bars, showing us all his fascinating old school cash registers, oil lamps, and so much more! I will always remember his red Corvette, AirStream Trailer, and his love for cycling, billiards and traveling. He was a good man and was like a grandfather to all us kids growing up on Grayfriars. RIP, Vince.

So many memories! I remember an antique cash register filled with chocolate coins. Playing with his di-cast car collection and homemade cherry soda. Vince will always have a loving place in my heart! RIP

I second what Luke said. I remember he always had a special Halloween treat of Cracker Jacks for the neighborhood kids. I still tell stories of Vince to my students, especially when I introduce the word “scarce.” He used to give us a gold chocolate coin and tell us to make ourselves scarce when he needed a break. We had him over for dinner several years after moving off Grayfriars. Such a kind man!
RIP, Vince
