Verna J. Brubaker

Born September 4, 1931, in Clare, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the age of 89.  Surviving are her two children, John (Pat) Brubaker and Michael (Mary) Brubaker; her two granddaughters, Shawna (Jon) Fellows and Tricia Brubaker; and her two great-granddaughters, Isabella and Elizabeth Fellows.  Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucinda Sue Brubaker.  Jean worked at the Ingham County Drain Commission Office and then worked at the Michigan Railroad Association where she retired in 1985.  After retirement she volunteered at McLaren Hospital for many years.  She was a loving Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting.  She was a member of the Ingham County Historical Society and the Masonic Order of the Eastern Star where she held many top positions.  She was a Certified Master Gardner and an accomplished seamstress.  Per her wish, cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at the Arthur Township Cemetery, Clare, Michigan.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
