I am deeply saddened by the passing of my good friend Troy. I’ll always remember the good times we had on the motorcycles and the GTO and the weekends at Grand Haven after my move there in high school. Although we lost track of each other over the years, Troy was always in the back of my mind. Troy was the most generous, kind and loving person one could know. My Mom and Dad loved him as part of our family. They are there with him now in heaven. So sadly missed and as they say, “I’ll see you buddy”.

Troy was very special to my brother, Pete, but also to the entire Faggion family. Born just one day apart, Troy and Peter were inseparable “partners in crime” at St. Therese where they shared their elementary school days. It was our GTO that Troy proudly owned and expertly made use of its mighty horsepower. A gentle-man in the true sense of the word, I was so impressed by his caring manner while serving at Dimondale. Now Troy is cared for…in the loving arms of his heavenly family.

I had the pleasure of working with Troy and serving on committees with him at Sparrow for the past 25 years. I last visited him on the day I retired 7-31-18. He was in good spirits and bragged about the weight he had lost. He looked great and looked forward to getting out of rehab and getting on with his life. I told him I will see you soon. I will miss his wit and our visits but I’m glad his suffering is over. This past year has not been easy. Rest in Peace my dear friend
