Tot Thi Tran

Tot passed away on October 26, 2021 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will strive to honor her memory by living their lives to the fullest.

Tot is survived by her husband, Duong and their three children, Le-Hang, Jennifer and Christopher. She was a loving grandma, dutiful daughter, devoted wife, eldest sister to twelve siblings and the fun aunt to thirty nieces/nephews. Tot was employed with Dart Container for over thirty years and was a loyal friend and dependable colleague. She enjoyed traveling, slot machines, and cooking for her grandchildren, Alexia, Kaleb and Lilyanna.

 She fought fearlessly for the past 1.5 year with colon cancer. Despite given a terminal diagnosis she continued to fight. She persisted with grace through radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Before deciding to go into hospice, Tot celebrated her youngest son’s wedding. It was a memorable day that brought us all light and joy. For all of the milestones and achievements we have yet to reach, we know she will be our guiding light and guardian angel.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Andrew Dung-Lac Catholic Church, 1611 W. Oakland Ave., Lansing, MI 48915.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Friday, November 5th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at the Church for one hour prior to the Mass.
