Thomas H. Groesbeck, Sr.

Age 64, of Lansing, passed away November 3, 2011. He was born April 23, 1947 in Lansing, the son of Harold and Lucille Groesbeck.

Tom was a graduate of Lansing Everett High School and an avid golfer. He served in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman with the Marines during Vietnam. He was a life member of Morley S. Oates, VFW Post #701, a member of Lansing Aerie #1039, F.O.E., the DeWitt Moose Lodge #2291, L.O.O.M., and American Legion Post #0412 in Bath.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Archer-Groesbeck, and brother James Groesbeck. He is survived by his son, Thomas (Melissa) Groesbeck, Jr. of New Port Ritchey, FL; 2 grandchildren, Jordan and Paige Groesbeck; 1 niece and 1 nephew; and 3 cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Wesley B. Emerson officiating. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Morley S. Oates, VFW Post #701 in Lansing.
