Olivia, Angel, Shaylin, Carla, Kevin and family,

The prayers of everyone that has been touched by this our father, brother, neighbor and friends are with each of you.

As I reflect on the life of Thomas, I am grateful that I know, he allowed me to be part of his small close inner circle of people that he maintained contact until his death.

Thomas and I spoke over the phone regularly over the last 51 years. He called me and I called him.

This man could make me laugh! He had a way of talking about me like a dog, and me laughing so hard at what he had said me. I too many times would have a come back.

As funny as he could be, there was a serious side as well. We spent hours talking about God, the bible, Jesus, and the church. He loved the Lord and he loved the church.

He loved his beautiful daughters. He loved his his sister and brother. He love his family. He loved Jeff. (Thank you Jeff Champion) and your mom.

I am grateful for the cups of joy and health he and I shared. We loved, we toiled and strove.
Together we loved and honored and praised our Fraternity.

Thomas loved the ways of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc.,

He was my dean, brother, my friend. How grateful I am.

My condolences to the family and prayers. Tommy was a special man and a special friend to me. Tommy lioved to talk and I listen to him daily. We laughed and Tommy cracked the jokes. I can’t imagine a word without my bestie being in. Tommy and I agrue, only to make up because we had a love/hate the relationship. We loved each other so much we hated when we weren’t communicating to each other. Oe word describes our relationship and the word is adore. I adored Tommy and he adored me and if heaven has a phone Tommy would call me.

“I’m deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my sands. Thomas Yarrell. Our friendship dates back to the 5th grade when we attended the same elementary school in Detroit. We shared many memories, including our daily bus rides to the YMCA for an after-school program. Years later, our paths crossed again when we pledged the same fraternity, creating a lifetime of unforgettable experiences and stories. Thomas, you will be deeply missed.”
