Theodore G. “Ted” Minnick
Mason
Ted passed on to his spiritual life peacefully on January 1, 2017, held in the loving arms of family members. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 26, 1944, to Edward and Pauline Minnick, who preceded him in death, as well as his son, Shawn.
Family was always first with Ted and he enjoyed sharing many special times with them and numerous friends golfing, snowmobiling, bowling, hunting, traveling, and fishing. He was a lifelong Spartan and was employed by Michigan State University for 42 years.
Ted is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Francine; sons, Kim (Jill), Matt (Rachel), Nick (Jeannine), and Yuri (Darcy); and brother, Steve (Pat). He dearly loved his grandchildren, Madeline, Valerie, Ben, Samantha, Anna, Siena, Wyatt, and Drew. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. His family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, with a Scripture Service held at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Ingham County Animal Shelter in memory of Ted Minnick. Online condolences may be left for his family at www.EstesLeadley.com.
