Thelma M. Smith

Age 91, of Lansing, MI, passed away June 28, 2017. She was born September 8, 1925, in DeWitt, MI, to the late Benton and Elsie Jones.

Thelma worked for J.W. Knapp’s, Yankee’s Dept. Store, Meijer, and later worked for 20 years as a manager of a nursing home in Traverse City.

She is survived by her children, William Edward Smith and Mary Josephine Caldiran; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eli Smith; daughter, Ruth Ann Smith; and sister, Marietta Stenzel.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at DeWitt Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. www.EstesLeadley.com
