Susan was an inspiration to all of us at 242 community church as well as a friend. Dennis and I will miss her smile, sense of humor, and willingness to always help with special needs adults as well as checking in our kids church! We are sorry we won’t be in town for the memorial

Both as Friend and Mentor Susan impacted my life in many special ways. She taught me so much about caring for others and I use these skills daily. To her family, I wish you peace and comfort and hope you know how very much Susan will be missed. May God bless all who are broken hearted.

Susan was a dear friend. When I moved to Lansing in 2004 she & Donna befriended me when I started attending Meridian Christian Church and I have been blessed to have her as a really good friend since then. We have made a number of road trips together, prayed together every week for several years, shared many meals, cried and laughed together. I know she will leave a void in the lives of those that knew her well and loved her. Thanking God for the blessing of having known her and praying for comfort and peace for all whose lives will be affected by her absence.

As already mentioned, Susan’s life was exemplified by serving others. God gifted her with insight and wisdom to ease others’ difficulties, and the ability to humbly serve in areas that some would shy away from. Many times I was impressed with her selflessness. I will miss her humor, practical advice, and friendship.

Susan’s heart was so big it overflowed in service to everyone she met. I always looked for her smile at the children’s desk – first at Meridian and then 2|42 Church. She touched so many lives and was a blessing to everyone. Be wrapped in the love of the Lord, my friend. You are missed.
