Age 48, of Lansing, passed away April 18, 2013. He was born October 27, 1964, in Adrian, MI, to Kenneth and Margaret Smith.
An informal memorial gathering will be held at Sir Pizza, 201 E Grand River Ave, Lansing, at 5:00 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of the donor’s choice.

April 23, 2013 at 11:59 pmI only knew Stuart for about six years from junior high to high school. Lost touch after I moved away. I can clearly remember him riding his unicycle across the grass all the way from the Fire Station to the little house at Slater Park. Don’t know many people who could ever do that. Someone told me that he was working at a book store a few years back and that he was happy. I’m glad about that. Rest In Peace Stuart.

January 24, 2014 at 9:40 pmI was with Stuart for several years. He was a sweet guy with demons. Then I heard he had died, and it was shocking. It seems unreal that someone I was that close to is no longer on earth. RIP Apook the Destroyer.

April 29, 2014 at 1:58 pmThe other day I found a book by William Burroughs that Stuart had lent to me close to 30 years ago. I had hoped to find him via the internet to return the book to him and am so sorry to learn that he passed away. As I remember him, Stuart was a gentle and sweet man. I hope that he found some joy in his too short life and is now at peace.
