Steven J. Rothwell

Born June 18, 1970, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018, at age 48.

Steven is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Erika Rothwell; their two children, Karoline and Evan Rothwell; his parents, John W. (Carol) Rothwell; parents-in-law, G.A. (Beverly) Puffer; brother, John P. (Jill) Rothwell; brothers-in-law, Darrick (Rae) Puffer and Garrick (Elizabeth) Puffer along with many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph A. Rothwell.

Steven was a proud graduate of M.S.U. and was a Spartan Warrior who served on the Alumni Association and as Past President of the Mid-Michigan Chapter.  He organized numerous charity auctions and was instrumental in obtaining memorabilia for those auctions.  He was an active volunteer in the DeWitt community, especially with various sports teams and events.  Steven was a self-employed business owner.

The funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Robert L. Irish, Pastor at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at The Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge St. in DeWitt.  Rite of Christian Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.  The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Go Fund Me account set up to help Steve’s family with the many expenses they have and will be incurring.
