Stella DeMarco

Age 93, of Lansing, MI, passed away June 19, 2017. She was born September 1, 1923, in Lapeer, MI, to the late Joseph and Mary (Calabrese) Dionise.

Stella was a graduate of Marygrove College. She belonged to St. Lawrence Auxiliary for over 30 years. She was a former member of The Country Club of Lansing and was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing.

She is survived by her children, Rosemary Clark, John (Connie) DeMarco, Michael (Vanessa) DeMarco, Terry (Renee) DeMarco, and Patti (James) Solomon; 7 grandchildren, Kristen (David) Rafferty, Danielle and Alexis Solomon, Nicole and Robert Anthony DeMarco, and Connor DeMarco; sisters, Genevieve and Ernestine Dionise; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert DeMarco; siblings, Michael, Ida, and Frank Dionise; and granddaughter, Kelly Daily.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Mark Inglot at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Church, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her Church or to Sparrow Home Hospice. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
