Stacey Lynn Metz

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, Stacey Lynn Metz, 48, was set free from her pain and became our guardian angel. Her beautiful and compassionate soul was that of a fighter, but she was just as selfless as she was brave. She championed for animals with her whole heart, had a serious case of wanderlust, and loved nothing more than spending time with her family and those she cared for most. Although she is no longer here with us on Earth, she is surrounded by family, friends, and love. Stacey is preceded in death by her grandparents and her sister, Jody Metz. She is survived by her best friends, her loving husband Cory Marsh and daughter Helaina (Robert) Johnson; parents, Michael (Heidi) Metz and Karen (Robert) Bell; brother, Kevin (Stacy) Metz; and nephew and niece, Ihaja and Anastasia Metz. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her greatly. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Stacey to Refurbished Pets of Southern Michigan in lieu of flowers. A private gathering will take place at a later date.

Stacey was a fighter, wanting to spend as much time with family as possible. She always cared more about other people than herself.

I was fortunate to have known Stacey not only as a co-worker on her Team but to also be fortunate to call her a dear friend. Her talent, optimism, dedication to her work, love for Lainie and Cory shined through always. She was a strong, loving, truthful and amazing lady who will be dearly missed by so many. My thoughts, hugs, love and prayers are with her family during this time and for years to come. May you find comfort in her memory always, God’s Angel.

Stacey was one of my oldest, dearest friends. I didn’t see her as often as I would’ve liked but I thought about her frequently. I will always cherish my memories of her, and the joy of watching Lainey grow up. She was a great mother, sister and friend. Love you, Stosh.
