Spencer B. Sass
Age 59, of Lansing, MI, passed away surrounded by his family on August 23, 2017. He was born June 2, 1958, in Lansing, to the late Donald and Audry Sass.
Spencer graduated from Waverly High School in 1977. He was employed at Dawn Donuts and Buddies Restaurant in Holt. He enjoyed bowling.
Spencer is survived by his brother, Quintin and wife Cindy of Lansing, his Uncle Earl and Aunt JoAnn of Port Huron, and other extended family members and friends.
There will be no service.

I was one of the cops on the midnight shift who used to stop in and see Spencer at the Waverly Rd. 7-11. This was back in the 1980’s & 90’s. Over the years I am proud to say that Spencer became our good friend – Lansing Township coppers & Eaton County coppers all knew and loved your brother.
He was working in kind of a bad area all night and we all kept and eye on him. He kept us in good spirits, crocheted us Afghans, kept the coffee hot and was always a highlight of our evenings.
I thought of him today and wondered how he was doing. I looked him up online and found that he had passed away some time ago. I wish I had reached out sooner.
It was an honor to be his friend. We are all saddened by his passing.
