Sarah, is a “one of a kind” soul. She embraced life with kindness and love. Her family was the center of her universe. She celebrated being a miriaculous quadruplet with dignity and archival devotion. I was able to see the quads perform at Vallery Court where Sarah worked. I knew Sarah for over 50 years. I was a buddy to her son Bill before he passed away.
We chose to stay in touch and created many sweet memories of our time together.
David will miss his mother with all of his heart and soul. He was devoted to her and took wonderful care of her. Sarah lived a long life and chose to pass on to be with her loved ones.

Edna one of the sisters worked as a volunteer where I worked. I will never forget her beautiful smile. She talked about her sisters and the different activities they were involved with. She had a lovely soul. I always looked forward to seeing her.

Heartfelt sympathy to David and grand sons. My sister Shirley and I used to take Sarah out to eat when she was in the high rise in Canton. My family loved her and Helen, Wilma and Edna. They used to come to our gatherings. We enjoyed their scrap books on their recitals. Oh how they will be missed. Rest in peace dear ones!

I became friends with Sarah after having quadruplet daughters in 1997. I guess that was enough for us to have an instant connection. She took such an interest in our family and we of course valued any advice she could give us. She was always so delightful to spend time with and she loved talking about her sisters and their adventures growing up. We remained in touch over the years and I tried to see her at least once a year. During the Covid years, we stood outside her apartment with signs wishing her a Happy 90th Birthday! On her 94th birthday, she sang for me some of the songs she and her sister sang long ago. I saw her last a few months ago on her 95th birthday. I’ll never forget how her face lit up when I showed her pictures of her sisters on my phone. I’ll miss her but am feeling so blessed to have known her and am happy to know she is reunited with her sisters and loved ones.

My mother, Marilyn Nye Burdick, met Sarah in the late 1980’s when my sister, Cindy Nye, moved to Lansing, Michigan to attend graduate school at Michigan State. While I don’t remember where Sarah and my mom met, they became fast friends. They took full advantage of the free birthday meal at Bill Knapp’s. They visited each of the restaurants that were within a reasonable distance and in a very short time celebrated many birthdays! Sarah came to visit us in Glastonbury, CT and I remember well her carefully typewritten letters to our mother who would look forward to getting them and would write back in very neat cursive handwriting. Sarah led a remarkable life of kindness and joy and we feel blessed to have shared a small part of our lives with her.
