Sandy “Nana” Patterson
Sandy passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of August 4th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Sandy was a devoted loving wife of 12 years to her best friend Harry “Woodie” Patterson and focused her retirement years from GM on her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed yearly family vacations with everyone which included a cruise to the Bahamas this past March. Sandy enjoyed Christmas holidays most of all and spoiled everyone with “money filled” funny socks that everyone looked forward to receiving. She loved shopping, Broadway shows, reality TV, Barry Manilow, her soap operas and most importantly her pride and joy were her yorkies Roscoe and Hunter who will miss her so much.
Sandy leaves behind her children, Michael (Misty) Griggs, Shelly (Fred) Truscello, Kari Marcos and stepdaughter Charlyn Lipps. Her beautiful grandchildren meant everything to her and are worth mentioning, Cameron (Erin) Allman, Kathryn (Leslie) Griggs, Kyra Kassa, Michael (Jordan) Griggs, Christian Griggs, Brody (Kaity) Kassa, Dominic (Julya) Truscello, Daniel (Grace) Truscello, Cody (Gabby) Farrell, Christian Lipps and Adam Lipps. Sandy adored her great granddaughter Catalina “Tookie” Griggs and was looking forward to welcoming her great grandson, Wesley Truscello in January.
Sandy was the most kindhearted, stubborn, nonjudgmental, God loving woman you could ever know. Whatever your “favorite” thing in the world was would become her “favorite” thing in the world. She was brave, courageous and a fighter until the very end.
There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Sandy Patterson.

August 7, 2024 at 8:27 pmSuch a beautiful person. We feel blessed to have visited with you and Woodie, three times before our return to Arkansas.
You raised some really great kids and grandkids! You worked diligently to be present at every sport, music or school event. Cheering them on and filled with pride.
It was a pleasure knowing you here on earth. May our loving Lord welcome you into His house with dancing and celebration. May he give comfort to all who were touched by your precious life. We love you!

August 8, 2024 at 4:13 amI will miss you. I will always remember your smile coming in the door even when you were tired, singing in the van, Neil Diamond songs and others, how you loved babies and your kids. Rest in heaven lady you deserve it. All my love to Mike, Shelly and Kari and the rest of your family.
