A gentleman among gentlemen. We first met Sam when our son Tim married his granddaughter Amy. He was the beloved Patriarche of his family. Sam and his loving wife Dorothy are two of the finest people we have ever met. Alzeimers may have taken him in the end, but, he left behind a loving legacy. All who knew him were privileged indeed. My grandfather passed away this week. He was such a great man. He loved us so much. I was so lucky to have a grandfather who was so involved in my life. He was always there for us, he would do anything for anyone and never saw it as a burden. He volunteered for everything. He was hardworking, honest and funny. He always had time for us. His hugs were wonderful. He loved playing cards and sports. He would never say no to game of cribbage. I can’t remember my grandpa ever raising his voice to anyone. He loved my grandma more than I have ever seen a man love a woman. He had great faith in God.

Dear dear Dorothy and family, I am with you in your grief. Sam was a wonderful man and showed his love to us by all he did at North Presbyterian Church. He was certainly special. Love you! God bless! Grace Haley
