Sally P. Rankin

Holt, Michigan.

Born March 4, 1931 in New York, New York daughter of the late William and Estelle Peterfreund, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at age 86.

Sally attended the U of M, where she met the love of her life, Paul Rankin.  They enjoyed 66 years of marriage.  Sally was a volunteer for the American Red Cross for 46 years and also volunteered for Ingham Regional Medical Center (currently McLaren Greater Lansing), Meals-on-Wheels, and the Relay for Life.  She was a longtime active member of the Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of First Presbyterian Church of Holt.

Survivors include her husband; their three children, Mike (Janet) Rankin, Wendy (Don) Magargal, and Cheryl (Jeff) Jones; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacob, Shane, Aubrey, Libbey, and Callie along with two great-grandchildren, Kasen and Declan.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Stan Peterfreund.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of Holt, 2021 N. Aurelius Rd. with Rev. Kirk R. Miller officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Church on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.

Sally was a very dear friend to me. She volunteered in the church office while I was secretary, and was so willing to help where needed.
