Ruth Wardwell
Age 97, of Holt, MI, passed away April 1, 2018. She was born August 11, 1920, in Cochocta Township, Michigan. Ruth was active with the Holt Senior Center and was an avid outdoorsman. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, bowling, softball, and spending time with her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and her son, William. Surviving are: daughter, Diane (Charles) Dittenber; daughter-in-law, Nancy Wardwell; 5 grandchildren, Chuck Dittenber, Mike Dittenber, Matt (Kathryn) Wardwell, Tammi Wardwell, and Kelly (Matthew) Moyer; and 5 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Maranda, Dale, Delaney, and Lleyton.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Senior Community Care of Michigan PACE, in memory of Ruth Wardwell. Online condolences may be left for her family at www.EstesLeadley.com.
