Ronald L. Hall

Age 86, of Lansing, passed away February 13, 2013.  He was born February 11, 1927, in Lansing, a son of Oscar and Doris Hall.  Ron graduated from Eastern High School in January, 1946, and attended LCC.  He retired from employment at Michigan National Tower after over 30 years.  Ron loved Tiger Baseball, Little League Baseball, NASCAR, getting together with his graduating class, and going out for coffee with his wife.  He also enjoyed family vacations at Higgins Lake, and “porch sitting.”

Surviving are:  his wife of 50 1/2 years, Harriet; his daughter, Sheila Owens; 4 grandchildren, Ashley (Keith) Wright, C. Michael Mennare, III, Caitlyn Mennare, and Tristian Owens; great-grandson, Charlie Wright; niece, Catherine Rector; nephew, Michael Rector; as well as several other nieces and nephews, and various “adopted” children and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Donna Rector; brother-in-law, Albert Rector.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with Dr. Paul Wall officiating.  Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. Sunday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation in memory of Ronald Hall.

as one of the “adopted” grandchildren i really am gonna miss him. he was so goofy that you had to hug him. his smile was infectious and you couldn’t help but to laugh when you saw him smile.
