January 3, 2012 at 4:36 pmKit and family,
I pray that God give you strength and comfort and that you draw on your faith, family and memories to help you through this time of grief.
My father battled Alzheimers for 9 years and he passed away this past August. I still miss him every day as I know you and your family will too but I have found comfort knowing that he is not suffering any more and that he now knows our names again.

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 1982 and died in 1987 after being cared for in the homes of my siblings and me and in a nursing home. I empathize with what you’ve been going through.
