Roger was a great father and his family was always his first priority. He was a kind and gentle man who looked for opportunities to help others when ever they needed it. We had the privilege of knowing him as a neighbor, parent, and friend for over 45 years. He will be sadly missed, but the legacy of caring for, and helping others will be carried on through his close and loving wife and family.

Mama and Papa Ling is what we called them in youth group many years ago. Papa Ling will always be remembered as a fun loving youth leader who, along with Mama Ling, gave of their time to lead the youth group for many years. You will be missed!

My heart just broke when I heard of Rogers passing. He was such a kind, loving soul. He always treated me like family. I will miss him terribly. He adored you Ellie as well as all of his children and grandchildren. Please find comfort in knowing that Roger is a peace with the Lord. Let the wonderful memories you have be your strength. We were so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. Ellie & Roger were such close friends for many years ; way back in the 60s. So good to talk to you Ellie, but do not have your house number. Live way down in Georgia now for almost 30 years. Will be thinking of you in Love, Chuck (aks The Hillbilly).
