Roger “Bud” Lantz

Age 67, passed away July 17, 2018.  He was born February 4, 1951, in St. Johns, to Carl and Carolyn Lantz, who preceded him in death.  Bud was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and he retired from GM after over 30 years of employment.  He loved watching sports, especially the Tigers and Spartans, and enjoyed playing sports when he was younger.  Bud also enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo.

Surviving are:  daughters, Lori Lantz and Lisa Lott; grandchildren, Tyler Morehouse, Joshua Alicea, and Brianna Thrush; great-grandchildren, Lilliana and Jaylen; his brothers, Randy (Sue) Lantz, Mark Lantz, and Tim (Yvonne) Lantz; sister, Karla Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.  His family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Roger Lantz.

I have many fond memories of Bud. One in particular was when I was in high school (1981 or so). I stopped by his mother’s house, my Aunt Carolyn, and we played Scrabble. Bud showed up halfway through the game and recounted a story of his army days.
