On behalf of the Officers, Members and Staff of IBEW Local 665 we wish to express our deepest of sympathies to the Schulz family. Bob had a way of putting a smile on our face and laughter in our hearts. We will miss our brother and friend.

I caught my passion for Teen Bible Quizzing working with Bob as an official on the Michigan District back in the early 1990s. He taught me the ropes and his enthusiasm was contagious. I have now served in Bible quizzing on five districts (Michigan, Colorado, NW Indiana, E. Kentucky, and now SW Indiana); I have been district director or co-director on three of those districts, and sought Bob’s advice when he was directing the Michigan quizzing. I will always claim Bob Shulz as my “quizzing mentor.” My condolences to his family, and my congratulations to Bob on finishing well–a great “quiz out.” “Points awarded!”

We knew Bob first as part of the church where Dave’s parent’s and brother attended in Holt. We got to know him much better when we served with him as quiz officials when we came to the Michigan District. He was a man of integrity and a true representative of Christ. He will be missed here, but I’m sure greeted with joy on heaven’s shore!

Condolences to Jan and family. Fond memories over the years way back to our childhood together. Bob was truly one of a kind with passion for life and passion for our Lord. Words fail remembering all our youthful shenanigans, from squirrel hunting to driving thru Ohio tornadoes or summers spend at Tiger stadium. Much love & prayers to Jan and family. We will meet again up in Heaven.
