Bob was my training chief when I entered the fire department in 1980. He had a broad vision. Wanted us to learn about the entire city operation, not just firefighting skills. We visited BWL water systems, learned the importance of fire prevention, and how to conduct ourselves in the station. Nice man, kind instructor.
