Robert E. Chadwell

Robert Chadwell, 85 of East Lansing, MI peacefully passed away into God’s grace on September 12th.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by loving family including: his wife, Marla; brothers, Duane and Darrell; son’s Greg & Brian; daughter, Leanne; grandchildren, Erin, Riley, Holly, Nick, Lexi, Jessie; great grandchild, Reyn White, along with many nieces and nephews. Robert was dearly loved and will be missed by many!

Robert had a successful career at AT&T and Michigan Bell retiring after 35 years. He started climbing poles as an installer and after multiple promotions worked as the District Sales Manager for AT&T GBS systems covering Michigan. Robert also worked at Cracker Barrel as a country gentleman in field sales.

Robert had a true passion for golf often playing with his brothers, family and friends all over the USA. One of his highlights was playing golf at Pebble Beach. He also loved boating on Torch Lake and spent many summers enjoying Northern Michigan. Robert escaped the cold winters visiting his beautiful condo with family in sunny Marco Island, Florida.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15th at 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, September 16th at 11am at Estes-Leadley Funeral Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens.

Bob was a wonderful neighbor for many years. Often, we saw him in his yard with a golf Club chipping balls, knowing the importance of keeping his short game finely tuned. He contributed much to ATT & our community. Irv Nichols
