To the Borton Family and Extended Family,
May God hold and keep you in this time of great sadness. I lost a great friend, but the Borton Family lost an even better Husband, Dad, Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin. Bob was the first friend that I made upon moving to the Lansing area in 84′. I give him full credit for re-introducing me to the pastimes (hunting, fishing, even bowling) that I loved and enjoyed with my Dad as a boy. He even played a role in me meeting my beautiful Wife of 26 years. Bob was indeed a big man, with a big heart who will be greatly missed.

Farewell Big Guy, see you on the other side.

Ray and I are saddened by the loss of Bob. His presence was big, and he was – and is – loved by many. We’ve enjoyed staying in touch with his fishing adventures, his love for his children and grandchildren (and of course Karen), and his efforts toward better health. Now he is healed! Praise God – we will see him one day again.

Love and prayers to the whole family.

To all of Bob’s family members, I pray and trust God will bring comfort and peace as you go through the grieving process. Bob and I had some good talks about the Lord’s love and mercy while we fished together. Bob trusted in the truth of God’s word and promises. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy to Karen and all the family. Bob and Karen were absolutely one of my favorite people to visit on my Schwan’s route for years before they moved. This comes as such a shock. Karen, I am praying for you and your family. May our Lord Jesus be with and guide you in this moment.
