October 8, 2023 at 10:51 pmMr. Anthony:
As a childhood hospital patient, I received many beautiful floral arrangements from your shop that brightened my dreary hospital room. May your family be comforted as they grieve your passing, but may they reflect on your many contributions to the community.

For 40+ years our family relied on Ricks floral expertise for our celebrations, weddings, and memorials. His floral arrangements were both beautiful and creative beyond belief. We grieve your loss as well.

October 15, 2023 at 11:08 amOur condolences to the Anthony Family. Rick and I started our friendship while attending Holt High School. We played BB during lunch hour and Rick always gave his all. We both were Bandmates at Holt and during our band days we cut 2 albums. Great times traveling to competitions. Rick was a leader of his section.
During his senior year at Holt, Rick sweet talked several of us into working at his flower shop during special holidays and that was actually my introduction to becoming a florist for several years.
When Rick ask the “Love of his life Carol” to be his beloved wife, I was lucky enough to be a part of his wedding party. Another great adventure.
Rick was a dedicated husband, father, son, and passionate about the career he had chosen.
RIP Brother, although your time down here has come to a close, you will not be forgotten.

October 16, 2023 at 9:45 amPat,
Thank you so much for those thoughtful words. I remember our friendship fondly with your family. And, if you will remember, my brother Rick used to take me everywhere with him, (including on his dates with Carole) up until I bought his Volkswagon from him and painted yellow polka dots on it.
Thank you for sharing lovely memories.

October 16, 2023 at 5:08 pmWe are so sorry for your loss. Rick’s passing is felt by all who knew him. We met when I returned to Holt in the early 1960’s. He was such a fun guy and a loyal friend to all. One of my favorite memories was of watching Rick dance. He was so talented that we often cleared the dance floor to watch him dancing to the newest dances. A few years ago I asked him how he learned all those dances. He said he had a full length mirror in his room that he practiced and practiced in front of. Rick (or “Flowers” as he signed my yearbook) wad one of the good guys who will be missed.

October 17, 2023 at 10:17 pmDear Carole, Patty, Sandy, Pam and families:
I’m so sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. Also that I didn’t get your voicemail, Sandy, until this afternoon (bad tower?). I would’ve come to visitation and/or service. Please accept my condolences.
My memories of Rick seem to blend with memories of your Dad – same smile, same tone of voice, same posture. Rick was a good guy.
Cherish your memories of the good times.
Love to you all,
Lisa Riel

November 22, 2023 at 5:16 pmMy first job was at Rick Anthony’s. I was a senior in high school. Years after our family continued to get our flowers from Rick and Carole for weddings and funerals and they were always beautiful. I also took a Dale Carnegie class with Rick’s son. Lots of other connections as well. Sorry to read of his passing.
