September 16, 2014 at 9:23 amDick Carroll was a friend of our family for almost 50 years. We met the Carrolls at little league in 1966. My Mom and I played cards for 30 years with Sally and Crissa. Dick was always willing to give a helping hand with whatever needed to be done. Hospitality was definately in his blood. He helped me at the Civic Center in 1984 when I took my nursing boards and in Midland when I stayed at his hotel. He was well read and really explained history when we met up at our biannual card games. I miss those times and I know he is at peace now with Sally and Crissa. God Bless you Dick Carroll

September 16, 2014 at 5:24 pmFrom the time I married his sister Elizabeth, Dick treated me as a member of the family. We had many occasions to get together, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Whether our discussions covered military service, politics, current events, or local issues, he was a delightful and well informed participant. Always positive, friendly and outgoing, Dick had a true gift for putting people at ease. He was a model son, brother, brother-in-law, father, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed by all of us who knew him. We know he now rests n Jesus’ care.
