Rachel Suzanne Ladin

Rachel Ladin 12/15/1959-4/25/2025

Rachel was born in Stamford Connecticut, 2 nd of 2 children, to Lily and Eli Ladin, both immigrants, from Germany and Palestine respectively.  After her early years in Connecticut, the family moved to Michigan where Rachel spent most of her life.  She was raised in the Jewish tradition.  She had friends, traveled, played the violin and piano very nicely.  After beginning college at Michigan State University, she gravitated to business study where she had significant aptitude. Unfortunately, she was not able to complete her studies as she began to suffer from mental illness. The last many years of her life were spent in the Kalkidan Group home in East Lansing, where she shared her warmth and generosity with her fellow residents.  She will be missed by all who had the chance to know her.
