Phyllis J. Moore

Age 93, of Holt, Michigan, died surround by loved ones at home Sunday, February 08, 2026.

She was born in Lansing on July 4, 1932, to Howard and Ernestine Box. Phyllis married the love of her life, Bruce Moore, on August 25, 1951.  They were married 72 years.  Phyllis retired from Ingham County in 1988.

In their retirement, Bruce and Phyllis traveled the world and saw many extraordinary places such as Morocco, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belize, and England to name a few.  They shared a winter home for many years in Ellington, Florida, where they enjoyed beach days, socializing with their friends and family.  They also enjoyed square dancing during the summer, traveling and camping with friends.

Phyllis is survived by her Son, Timothy Moore, Grandchildren Jason (Sheila) Moore, Amanda (Shane) Churches and Ashley Moore and Great-Grandchildren Joshua, Ethan, Paul (Keelee), Grady and her brother Larry Box. Phyllis was preceded in death by her Husband, Bruce Moore and their daughter Pamela Grace Rhodabeck and her parents.

The funeral for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, interment will follow in North Cemetery, Lansing, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Monday at the funeral home.
