Peter D. Poufcas
Age 91, passed away January 9, 2018, in Naples, Florida. He was born June 5, 1926, in Macedonia, coming to America when he was 13. After high school, Peter joined the military, serving in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. When he was finished in the military, he married Barbara (Evans), and raised a large family. Peter retired from General Motors after 35 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Poufcas in 2002, as well as his son, Douglas; and sisters, Mary and Lecha. Surviving are: 6 children, Nick Poufcas, Thomas (Loriann) Poufcas, Billy (Karen) Poufcas, Suzie Thiesing, Cathy Poufcas, Diana (Dan) Helms; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment to follow in East Lawn Memory Gardens. His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
