Peggy JoAnne Klimecky
Age 75, of Lansing, MI, passed away June 1, 2014. She was born May 9, 1939, in Lansing, daughter of Kenneth and Mabelle Blonshine.
Peggy graduated from J.W. Sexton High School. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking, trying new recipes, and taking food to her friends and neighbors. She also had a great interest and talent in all manner of arts and crafts, including cake decoration, flower arranging, sewing, ceramics, macramé, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. Peggy also loved decorating for the various holidays and was a member of the Lansing Ladies Skating League.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Ken Klimecky and Kevin Louis Klimecky; brother, Gerald (Karen) Blonshine; sister-in-law, Patricia Tessin; brother-in-law, Vern (Joy) Klimecky; and five nephews: Rand, Scott, and Jay Eckhart, and Pete and Chris Klimecky. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis Steve Klimecky.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Steven Klimecky.
