January 30, 2013 at 5:15 pmI will never forget the time I was in the hospital and was feeling very ill and Uncle Pete sat there next to me for a couple of hours. I would wake up and say “Uncle Pete you don’t have to stay I’m sleeping” and he would say to me “That’s ok you sleep and I will just sit here”. And he did, he stayed by my side then and I felt privileged to be by his side his final moments of life. He was a great father, grandfather, brother in law friend to many and a great Uncle who will never be forgotten. His weary mind and body can finally rest.
“…….And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21:3 & 4

February 2, 2013 at 1:36 amPete was someone who could make you feel special – like you belonged in the family. When I met him, as a teen, I thought he was the coolest Dad ever! In his good days it was not uncommon to run into him at the Colonial or the Unicorn. I can see him sitting on a stool, wearing his cowboy hat and boots, watching what was going on around him. Now that he is finally at rest, I am sure he his dancing, joking and fitting right in, the “real” Pete, the man he was before the dementia took him away. R.I.P.
