Paul W. McKim

Age 84, of Waupun, WI, formerly of the Lansing, MI area, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 17, 2012.

Paul and Jean were married February 8, 2003 in Gulf Shores, AL where they wintered. Paul was an avid sportsman, especially enjoying golf and spending time with his family and friends at his cottage at Crooked Lake. Paul retired as a journeyman electrician at Lansing IBEW 665.

Paul is survived by his wife, Jean of Waupun, WI; his three children, Susan Oberlin, Mary Lou (Don) Hunsaker, and Tim (Terri) McKim; four step-children, Debbie Bleich, Ron (Sue) Reichhoff, Noma (Eric) Ramsett, and Joanne Hamberger; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Marilyn; his parents, William and Mildred McKim; and two brothers, Doug McKim and Joe McKim.

The funeral service for Paul McKim will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7000 West Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, 325 W. Washtenaw Street, Lansing, MI. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

A special thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Christian Homestead of Waupun, WI and Heartland Hospice of Fond du Lac, WI for their care and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

My thoughts and prayers are with my cousins and Aunt Jean today. So many memories of family get-togethers, & the three brothers & their hilariousness. Thinking of Uncle Paul’s laugh makes me smile, and it makes me miss him, as I know so many people will.
